Cameron Park Real Estate

Cameron Park is community carved out of what was originally Shingle Springs. It was envisioned in the 1950s by a successful auto dealership owner and former championship rodeo rider, Larry Cameron. Cameron purchased 5,000 acres of land and envisioned a community in which residents could swim in a lake, play golf, and use a private airport.

Today, Cameron's dream has been realized. Our Airpark properties line the wide, dual purpose streets on which pilots taxi their private planes to the oversized garages in their homes which serve as hangars. Meantime, golfers prefer the smaller "cart-sized" garages in some of the properties along the Cameron Park Country Club. Residents can enjoy swimming, picnics, and some of the finest Fourth of July fireworks in El Dorado County at Cameron Park Lake.

Cameron Park is very much a bedroom community, and features many subdivisions of single family homes built since the 1970s, as well as newer spec homes homes.
