Pollock Pines Real Estate View
Homes
With an elevation of 3620 feet (as measured at the Smedberg Golf Course),
Pollock Pines escapes some of the sweltering heat of the Central Valley, making
it a favorite vacation spot and stop-over for Bay Area drivers on their way to
Lake Tahoe.
Pollock Pines Real Estate is still extremely affordable by El Dorado County
Standards (though there are luxury properties there to be sure). Coupled with
the natural beauty of the area, more and more people are considering making the
fairly challenging commute down the hill to Sacramento. For all of that,
Pollock Pines still retains its vast wilderness areas and small town charm,
being well past the suburban sprawl of Folsom and El Dorado Hills.
Pollock Pines is also home to the beautiful Sly Park (Jenkinson Lake) on route
50. The park itself offers camping, picnicking, boating and swimming, while
Pollock Pines is a beautiful small town community nestled among thick groves of
cedar, oaks -- and as you've no doubt already surmised -- lots and lots of tall,
fragrant pines!
